A culture of sustainability
Sustainability is most often defined as meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet theirs. It has three main pillars: economic, environmental, and social.

At Karoo Kleintjie we focus our energy on reducing waste in our supply chain by keeping a small inventory of finished product on hand. We blend this approach with a make to order strategy that prevents us from having large quantities of obsolete stock on our shelves.

The majority of our raw materials are locally sourced natural fibres which are manufactured in South Africa. We carefully investigate the production methods and materials used as determining factors before we commit to buying and working with these materials. For the small number of items that are currently not produced in South Africa, we support local small businesses for all our purchases in a drive to ignite and stimulate our local economy.

We cannot change the world on our own, but we are dedicated to our efforts of preserving and building our beautiful country in every way possible, so that the future generations of South Africa can experience and enjoy the privileges of growing up in the same beautiful place that we have.
